    REAL STORIES, REAL RESULTS

    BACKED BY SCIENCE

    NATURALLY PREBIOTIC

Insects are naturally prebiotic, which means they boost healthy gut bacteria, improve gut microbiome balance, and help with healthier poops.

    BETTER POOP & LESS GAS

The natural fiber in Cravin’ Cricket supports healthy digestion, promoting solid stools (better health for them and easy pick up for you) as well as less room-clearing gas.

    GREAT FOR FOOD SENSITIVE DOGS

Made with a hypoallergenic, novel protein that hasn't been overused, and free from common allergens including chicken, wheat, corn, and soy, Jiminy’s Dog Food is perfect for dogs with food intolerances, allergies, and digestive issues.

VARY PROTEIN TO HELP WITH FOOD ALLERGIES

A rotational diet works best when used to prevent food allergies in dogs. By rotating protein sources, dogs don’t have as much exposure to a single allergen. This helps prevent their body from becoming intolerant and creating an immune response.

Young Boston Terriers have benefited greatly

We rescued two young Bostons and switched from their previous diet to Jiminy's with none of the tummy upset that can often accompany abrupt changes.
Their bms went from yellow and runny to solid the next day.
It hasn't added to their normal gassiness either which is a huge plus.
They enjoy it stuffed into their Bento balls and as treats.
We tried to find this brand locally and one store in our area was able to order it; but couldn't honor the Jiminy's price for the rotation bundle. It's unfortunate but we'll continue to have it shipped.

Did not agree with my dog’s tummy. I will need to return it. Great concept though.

They arrived safely, no torn bags. My dogs eat this combination very well. I have 3 dogs and they all like different flavored kibble, but they all agree with this one, which makes it much easier on me.

    Life-Saving Food

Jiminy’s is the only dog food my rescue Bernedoodle can eat. My other bernedoodle doesn’t have GI issues. We tried everything; prescription diets, limited ingredient foods, expensive boutique brands, you name it. Nothing worked. He struggled constantly with gut issues and sensitivities, and I was honestly losing hope.

Within days of starting Jiminy’s, his gut healed. The change was fast and undeniable: normal digestion, more energy, and finally a comfortable, happy dog. For the first time since rescuing him, he’s truly thriving.

What impressed me just as much as the food itself was the company. I unexpectedly ran out of food and reached out in a panic. Jiminy’s overnighted a bag to me at no additional shipping cost, so my dog wouldn’t have to switch foods or risk getting sick again. That level of care is rare.

Jiminy’s didn’t just help my dog, it gave him his quality of life back. I will never feed him anything else.

Hi Alecia! Thank you so much for sharing Hutch and Edna’s story! ❤️ We’re thrilled to hear that Hutch’s gut issues have improved and that he’s finally thriving. There’s nothing better than seeing a happy, healthy pup. We’re also so glad we could help in a pinch and get him his food without any stress. It’s exactly the kind of care we hope to provide to every customer (and their dogs!). Hutch and Edna are lucky to have each other…and you’re lucky to have such resilient little pups. Thank you for trusting Jiminy’s!

Two Shibas, two different needs, prayers answered

I have two Shibas, Walter (burnt boi) and Glengarry Glenn Ross (toasty boi). They have two different needs. Walter is my snacky boi, snacky to the point where I needed to put him on a diet. After switching to Jiminy’s about a month ago I’m happy to share that he’s starting to lose some weight!

Glengarry is my foster baby. He came to me with terrible allergies, missing fur and broken heart. He was on three different medications that were about $100 each which is why he stayed in a foster status. For five months it seemed like his allergies were not improving with his medication. And I tried everything but nothing was working. But I wasn’t willing to give up on him. He’s already been through so much. My cousin who also has an itchy boy told me to try Jiminy’s. And after about a month munching crickets his skin is starting to clear up and his fur is starting to grow back. Glengarry is improving so much that I’m happy to share that I’m formally adopting him for Christmas!

Hi Meg! Thank you so much for taking the time to share Walter’s and Glengarry's story! It truly means the world to us. We’re very happy to hear that Walter is doing well on Jiminy’s and starting to reach a healthier weight, and even more moved by Glengarry’s journey. Knowing that his skin is clearing up and his fur is growing back, most importantly that he’s feeling better after everything he’s been through is incredibly special to hear.

And congratulations on officially adopting Glengarry for Christmas! That is the best kind of happy ending, and we’re honored to be a small part of his healing journey. We hope he'll fully recover with our food. Thank you again for trusting us with your pups and for being such an amazing dog parent!

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a rotation diet for dogs?

A rotation diet is a feeding approach where you regularly switch up the proteins and food types your dog eats instead of feeding one single diet continuously. This can mean rotating different protein sources (e.g., lamb, salmon, insect protein) as well as varying food formats like dry, wet, or raw.

How can a rotation diet help dogs with food allergies?

Rotating protein sources helps limit prolonged exposure to any single ingredient that might trigger an immune response. By reducing constant contact with the same protein, you can lower the chance that the dog’s immune system becomes sensitized to it — which is a primary factor in food allergies.

Can rotation diets help prevent new food allergies?

Yes — regularly exposing dogs to different proteins and ingredients may help prevent them from developing sensitivities to one specific protein, because their immune system isn’t repeatedly challenged by the same allergen.

Should dogs with existing food allergies be rotated to new proteins?

Before starting rotation, it’s important to identify and eliminate the offending allergen from the dog’s diet. Once the dog is stable on a completely allergen-free diet, rotation may help protect them from becoming intolerant to additional proteins over time.

Can a rotation diet improve my dog’s gut health?

Yes — dietary variety helps supply a broader range of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. This diversity can support the gut microbiome, improve digestion, and may reduce inflammation, all of which are helpful for dogs with sensitive tummies.

Will a rotation diet make meals more exciting for my dog?

Absolutely. Switching up food flavors, textures, and proteins can keep meals fresh and enticing, which can be especially helpful for picky eaters or dogs that seem bored with their current diet.

How do I start a rotation diet safely?

Introduce new foods gradually to avoid digestive upset. Start with small amounts mixed into your dog’s current food and increase over several days until the new food becomes the primary diet. Follow this process each time you switch foods.

Is rotation diet the same as an elimination diet?

No — they are different. An elimination diet is a controlled, limited feeding protocol used to identify specific allergens by introducing one food at a time. A rotation diet is a long-term strategy of varying foods to promote diversity and reduce allergy development after allergens are identified and removed.

Can rotational feeding interfere with allergy testing or dietary trials?

Yes — if rotation diets are used while trying to diagnose a food allergy, they can make it harder to pinpoint the actual trigger because the dog has been exposed to many ingredients. Allergy testing and elimination diets are usually done without frequent dietary changes for accurate results.

Are there any risks to rotation diets?

Rotation diets are generally safe when foods are complete and balanced and transitioned gradually. However, if done too rapidly or without balanced nutrition, dogs may experience digestive upset. Always monitor your dog’s stool quality and behavior during changes.

Do rotation diets replace hypoallergenic or prescription diets?

Not always. Dogs with severe, diagnosed food allergies may still require a specialized hypoallergenic or limited-ingredient diet long-term. Rotation diets may complement these but should be guided by your veterinarian.

How often should I rotate my dog’s food?

There’s no one-size-fits-all schedule, but many rotation approaches switch proteins and formulas every few weeks to a couple of months, allowing each protein a turn while keeping exposure varied.
