UNDERSTANDING THE JIMINY’S PET PARENT

There are two key types of consumers who are the Jiminy’s core customers – the Allergy Struggler and the Environmentalist.

Dog has real or perceived allergy or sensitivities (this includes gut health issues).
Pet Parent is constantly looking for products that will work for dog / minimize the issue.
Pain point = dog’s health.

Outdoor lifestyle. Believes in Climate Change. Is willing to spend more for eco-friendly products.
Will be delighted to know an eco-friendly option exists. Passion point = stewardship of earth.



AND DON’T FORGET THE MILLENNIALS!

These two types of consumers cut across age groups. There is also a natural affinity to our products from millennials. They grew up doing carbon footprint exercises in school, so when we say that we’re reducing our dogs’ carbon pawprints – they get it immediately!

These new consumers are so important to our industry – they are the biggest pet owning cohort and think of themselves as pet parents.

 

WHY INSECT PROTEIN?

Dogs (and humans) have been eating insects for thousands of years. But, at Jiminy’s, we are one of the first to add powdered cricket protein to our dog food and treats. AND, we’re working with experts to better understand and unlock the many health benefits for our dogs!
